What affects the cost of filling a pool with a water tanker?
There is no single price: it depends on the litres, the number of trips, the distance and the access. We explain each factor so you know what to expect before asking for a quote.
1. The litres your pool needs
This is the factor that weighs most. A small pool needs few trips and a large one needs several. If you do not know how many litres your pool holds, use our litre calculators: they give you the volume and the number of tankers needed.
2. The number of trips
Each water tanker carries 12,000 litres per trip. The price is worked out from the trips required, so it helps to know the volume as precisely as possible. See our guide on how many water tankers you need.
3. The distance
What counts is the distance between our nearest loading point (Palma, Calvià or Marratxí) and your pool. The closer it is, the more trips can be run back to back comfortably.
4. Tanker access
The tanker needs to reach the pool area by road or track. If the access is narrow, very steep, or the hose has to cover a long distance, mention it when you ask for a quote.
5. Private owner, association or hotel
Community and hotel pools tend to be larger, and deliveries are sometimes scheduled in advance. If that is your case, see the page for homeowners' associations and hotels.
